The Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cyber security solutions that protect critical assets across different areas such as markets and Amazon Web Services. Duties will include conducting research on new areas in security to input to cyber strategy, designing cyber security solutions in line with best practices to ensure deployment of best-in-class solutions, defining cyber security technical requirements and acceptance criteria for new systems, and conducting proof of concepts for cyber security solutions, among many other functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on new areas in security to contribute to the cyber strategy
- Designing cyber security solutions in line with best practices to ensure deployment of best-in-class solutions
- Defining cyber security technical requirements and acceptance criteria for new systems
- Conducting proof of concepts for cyber security solutions
- Leading testing, implementation, deployment, and commissioning of new solutions
- Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery in accordance with best practices for deployed solutions
- Ensuring proper change management and system handover processes are followed
- Recommending major upgrades where required and collaborating with the Operations Team to implement
- Ensuring continual improvement of all security programmes to maximise their returns and benefits
- Conducting knowledge transfer to other yeam members or staff on new and topical areas
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or IT
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CEH or equivalent)
- A Cloud Certification (AWS or Azure)
- Networking Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE, Network+ or CompTIA) preferred
- At least 3 years experience implementing cyber security solutions
- Certifications in CyberArk, Firewalls, IDS, Content Filters or Antivirus will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of project management techniques such as Agile or SAFe
