We’re accepting applications for the position of Employee Relations Advisor. The purpose of this position will be to deliver a consistent and high quality human resources services experience with regards to Employee Relations; and to align to global standards in order to ensure a consistent, efficient and effective service is being rendered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first point of contact to the business for all ER process and policy queries and issues
- Providing an end-to-end case management service with regards to all ER processes, including but not limited to poor performance management, grievance management and sick leave management
- Providing support and consultation to both staff and line management throughout the ER process
- Liaising with the Employment Law division on complex cases
- Facilitating the end-to-end case management of the Income Continuation Benefits (ICB) process, including acting as liaison between the Insurer and other stakeholders and to facilitate the payment logistics as applicable
- Facilitating, investigating and closing HR related Speak Up cases
- Building and maintaining relationships/clarifying expectations with key stakeholders.
- To be involved in sub- project deliverables on needs driven basis
- Keeping abreast of latest HR trends (best practice), tools and techniques through networking and monitoring the micro and macro environment
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and a 3 year Degree or Diploma in an HR or ER related field essential
- An Honours Degree in an HR or ER related field will be beneficial
- At least 3 to 5 years experience in an HR or ER related field
- Knowledge of Labour Legislation and BCEA
- Knowledge of Employee Relations Practices, HR theories and models, etc.
- Experience working on SAP
