Group Networks Business Administrator

We’re accepting applications for the position of Regional Operations and Maintenance Manager to ensure effective and efficient operations and maintenance activities are carried out on telecommunications towers. This will include realizing value for money and assuring availability for all installed infrastructure to perform the desired business services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing vendors in the specified region
  • Initiating and following through actions required to achieve, improve, or maintain the agreed infrastructure service levels within budget, time, and quality
  • Managing all site maintenance vendors and processes, including both Tower and power maintenance
  • Reviewing and analysing contracts to identify any potential risks or issues and developing strategies to mitigate those risks
  • Designing and reviewing maintenance routines and procedures within the SLA maintenance function to achieve desired effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensuring that monitoring, measurement, reporting, and evaluation of the Service Level Agreement KPIs are done to achieve value for money, including target TTR, MTTR, MTBF, MTBSI, and agreeing, maintaining, and regularly reviewing the SLAs and OLAs with the external service providers/contractors to ensure effective service delivery
  • Ensuring that contract details and requirements are communicated timeously to all internal stakeholders as necessary
  • Ensuring on-site liaison is done with maintenance contractors at the regional and central levels whenever necessary
  • Verifying and reconciling all contractor invoices for payments
  • Routinely reviewing the installed infrastructure and timely producing swap-out plans and budgets for the replacement of equipment that is due
  • Ensuring development and maintenance of accurate records for the entire infrastructure
  • Providing leadership and support to teams within a specific region
  • Evaluating the performance of each customer on the network based on their individual SLA
  • Evaluating the performance of each vendor/contractor based on the SLA
  • Monitoring and managing company’s compliance to all customer signed SLAs
  • Monitoring and managing the vendor’s/contractor’s compliance to each SLA with company
  • With support from the IT team and the NOC systems, ensuring that all Technical Support Systems and Platforms are in place and functional to correctly monitor the performance of the site assets
  • Providing strategic information needed for short, medium, and long-term decision making to company and its customers and vendors/contractors
  • Distributing high-level feedback to company management regarding the network on SLA breaches, non-compliance, etc.
  • Distributing high-level feedback to company customers including non-compliance and network performance
  • Distributing high-level feedback to all company’s vendors/contractors for rapid intervention on non-compliance, missed KPIs, and poor network performances
  • Ensuring all information required for network reporting is gathered, accurate, analysed, calculated, and reconciled

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant 3 year Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities or IT qualification
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Project management expedrience essential
  • Proven experience in contract management or a related field
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management
  • Familiarity with contract management software and tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
