Applications are now open for the role of Senior Billing Administrator. The purpose of this position will be the management of customer on-boarding and the billing administrative process ensuring billing accuracy, completeness, compliance and reliability. Functions will include managing accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes and ensuring efficient revenue cycle management, resolving billing discrepancies, providing support to revenue assurance, managing adherence to statutory and revenue assurance policies and processes, and reporting on customer billing performance with key highlights on concerns with mitigating plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing customer onboarding and the billing administrative process
- Ensuring billing accuracy, completeness, compliance, and reliability
- Managing accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes
- Ensuring efficient revenue cycle management
- Resolving billing discrepancies
- Providing support to revenue assurance
- Managing adherence to statutory and revenue assurance policies and processes
- Reporting on customer billing performance with key highlights on concerns and mitigating plans
- Being accountable for overall billing integrity and customer management
- Providing support and guidance for data analysis activities to confirm usage profiles, contractual changes, and spend baselines
- Performing pre-billing and post-billing reconciliations
- Conducting monthly reconciliations of revenue against collections and open invoices
- Reconciling output VAT to billed revenues
- Ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority and review and approval rules
- Supporting revenue assurance policies and processes across all entities
- Demonstrating strong Microsoft Office knowledge, especially in Excel
- Displaying excellent problem-solving skills
- Identifying and processing Service Level Agreement network credits and penalties on process deficiencies
- Regularly reporting on contract management completeness and billing accuracies
- Building relationships with customers and stakeholders on billing and collections
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and a Degree or Diploma in Finance or Administration
- At least 3 to 5 years experience in billing administration
- Telecommunications industry experience will be an advantage
- Ability to interpret billing data, identify trends, and optimise processes
- Strong data analysis skills
