We’re now accepting applications for the position of Senior UI/UX Designer who will be focussing on all aspects of digital product development and design across all of our client’s digital channels. The purpose of this position will be to deliver exceptional user experience across digital channels by means of user research, information architecture, user experience design and user interface design. This will include adhering to user experience design methodologies in creating visually appealing user interfaces within an agile, collaborative team in close liaison with Developers.
Experience in a Financial Services environment is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handling all aspects of digital product development and design across digital channels
- Delivering exceptional user experience across digital channels by means of user research, information architecture, user experience design and user interface design
- Adhering to user experience design methodologies in creating visually appealing user interfaces within an agile, collaborative team in close liaison with Developers
- Executiong user experience strategies and gaining buy-in from stakeholders
- Following a user centred design approach in designing user journeys
- Promoting visual design guidelines, best practices and standards
- Collaborating with the team and working closely with Developers
- Conducting user testing on new and existing journeys
- Maintaining an understanding of customer needs through research and interviews
- Validating product concepts and informing design decisions
- Designing the future state of channels with an omni-channel approach
- Conducting competitor reviews and research
- Continuously monitoring the performance of digital channels
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and relevant three year Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Informatics, Human Computer Interaction or a similar field essential
- Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) or similar desirable
- Masters in Psychology or Social Sciences beneficial
- At least 5 to 8 years experience which includes user-centred design, interaction design, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping essential
- Extensive knowledge of Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin, HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and mobile operating systems essential
- Experience in a Financial Services environment is essential.
